Education and Experience
I graduated from the Latvian Medical Academy, now known as Riga Stradins University. After completing my studies, I worked at Valmiera Hospital, specializing in traumatology and orthopedics. In 1994, I obtained my traumatologist-orthopedist certification. While working at Valmiera Hospital, I also completed specialized training at clinics in Norway and Sweden.
Starting in 1995, I turned to plastic surgery in Norway, working at both the University of Bergen Clinic and Telemark Hospital. In 2002, I obtained my plastic surgeon certification in Norway. Since 2002, I have practiced in Latvia at the "Latvian Center for Plastic, Reconstructive and Microsurgery" within Gailezers Hospital. At the same time, I have continued working in Norway, dividing my time between Telemark Hospital in Skien and Rogaland University Hospital in Stavanger.
My surgical experience covers a wide range of procedures, including aesthetic plastic surgery, reconstructive surgery, hand surgery, and microsurgery to address soft tissue defects resulting from trauma. I also perform breast reconstruction after breast cancer surgery and correct congenital defects. Additionally, I offer procedures such as wrinkle reduction, lip augmentation, and facial contouring using injectable Restylane implants.
To keep up with the latest advances in plastic surgery, I regularly attend courses and international congresses to continue developing my knowledge and skills.
I have been honored to serve as President of the Latvian Association of Plastic Surgeons and am a member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS).
My language skills include Russian, English, Norwegian, Swedish, and Danish.
