- Studies
- Graduated from the Latvian Medical Academy (now Rīga Stradiņš University), then worked at Valmiera Hospital, specialising in traumatology and orthopaedics.
- 1994
- Certified as a traumatologist-orthopaedist. Further training at clinics in Norway and Sweden.
- 1995
- Turns to plastic surgery in Norway, working at the University of Bergen clinic and Telemark Hospital.
- 2002
- Certified as a plastic surgeon in Norway and begins practising at the Latvian Centre of Plastic, Reconstructive and Microsurgery at Gaiļezers Hospital.
- Since 2002
- Practises in Latvia and continues working in Norway: at Telemark Hospital in Skien and Rogaland University Hospital in Stavanger.
